Whenuapai Child Care Centre

The New Shoots Children’s Centre, located in Whenuapai, has been designed with an innovative use of timber to create a playful architectural building and a vibrant centre for the community. The design is said to be a playful take on the classic children’s game of hide and seek, where the revolving glulam structure creates spaces in which children can play, hide and explore.

The extensive glazing creates light, open plan classrooms and play areas, that link directly with the children’s playgrounds outside. The use of low VOC materials helps ensure an healthy environment for both children and staff.

Licensed Plaster Board Specialists are proud to have been contracted and involved in the build of this house by taking care of all the Plasterboard requirements.
